I can’t sit in silence any longer, not knowing if she will ever come to me. If I knew she was eventually coming, I could stay. If she had the strength to call or message me and say “I’m coming. Just need a little more time.” Then I would know and I’d wait. But she doesn’t do that and I don’t know what she is doing. And not knowing is like having a boat anchor around my neck, pulling me down. I just can’t stay any longer. As Tom Petty once said “It’s time To Move on. Time to Get Goin’. What Lies Ahead I Have No Way Of knowing. But Under My Feet Baby, Grass Is Growin’. Time To Move On. Time To Get Goin‘.”

(BTW: No one knows who ‘she’ is, so don’t bother asking me or anyone else. I have told no one that she is still on my mind, always. Even she does not know. That’s because she is likely in another relationship and I would not interfere. However, it’s a spiritual connection between us, probably twin-flame, that I have been unable to break. But, in this morning’s prayer, I finally received permission to break the connection.)

We had a full moon on May 1st and there is another on May 31st. When there are two in the same month, the second is called a Blue Moon. It happens just once every 2.5 years, or so. Hence the saying “Once in a Blue Moon” 🙂 [note: it’s not actually blue]

You too can actually enjoy life. You can try starting each day with just 5 minutes of quite. Visualize God’s loving, healing light soaking and penetrating every cell in your body. Give thanks to God and to your cells for doing their job. 🙂

This old boy finally gave it up. He put up a good fight, but the wear and tear of our years will eventually get us all. ( he passed on June 11, 2021)

He was not the biggest, but was definitely the baddest freakin’ Lion in modern times. He never gave up… until he simply had no more to give. This dude was all heart!

My friend Rich asked how I could turn Evelyn away. She is young, beautiful, wealthy, passionate, smart and capable of deep emotional connection. Below is what she sent me on Christmas morning along with the words “I’m falling in love with you!” Despite all of this, there was one big red flag. She wanted to control me. Even when she came here from Phoenix to reconcile, she just pretended that there had been no breakup and instead of talking things through, just tried pressuring me to go to dinner. It felt all wrong. I won’t bend to anyone’s control. The lesson for some of my friends (who would have given anything to be with this young woman) is “first and foremost, be true to yourself, always”.

Rich also asked “What did she see in you? You’re an ugly old man!”  (lol yes that’s my friend… insulting one another is a Jersey thing. Plus, he’s basically correct. Ha, ha.)  That was my first question to her. Her answer was that  she had been following my Facebook posts (this was Nov 2025) and was very attracted to me as an older man because she was seeking “deep love”. She said that she felt a love-of-life in me and emotional maturity. I say “Baby… everything about me is mature! (and a bit dried up)”  Lol.   According to her, young men today are insecure, immature and looking for more of a mother than a life partner.

I used to play this game against hustlers on the streets of NYC. I never won! Now, I’d love to go back in time and try again. 🙂

It starts with being true to yourself and loving yourself. It means no longer lying to yourself about who you are and what you feel. I see who you are at your core and you are beautiful. If I can see the real you, why can’t you? It’s your brain… your belief system. Somewhere along the line, someone convinced you that you’re inferior. That is the lie. If only you could see you as I do, you would know the true you. Start by thinking positively and lovingly about yourself.
