Unconditional love is always soft and always tender. Unconditional love is always kind. Unconditional love is always forgiving. Unconditional love is always compassionate. Unconditional love is always understanding. Unconditional love is never hurtful. Unconditional love is never demanding. Unconditional love is never needy. Unconditional love is never controlling. Unconditional love never rejects. Unconditional love never abandons.
But only the strongest people can love unconditionally. Some of those who they might offer their love to will fail to see that this unconditional love is a gift directly from God. By not seeing this, they may mistakenly reject it which hurts both parties deeply.
If a person rejects unconditional love, that love does not hang around forever waiting to be finally accepted. Eventually, God redirects His messenger to someone else and He will try you again — when you are more ready to receive His love.
Update: This was originally published a couple of weeks ago. I then deleted about 40 posts (this one included) but today, felt compelled to resurrect it. Is someone coming out of rehab (or maybe a retreat) who needs to know that despite the past, they are loved Unconditionally for who they truly are?
